Latest photos of the lovely Kyra

She was caught by the dog warden in a small village of Basilicata where she had been a stray for a while and taken to a public pound where dogs only come out in black sacks! Fortunately, a public vet noticed her and was very moved by her plight, so she contacted our local rescuer, Giovanna who was able to move quickly to bring her into the safe custody of SOS Italian Setters. It turned out that she had a microchip registered in Calabria which revealed she had NINE previous owners prior to being abandoned.

Although she clearly has a strong prey drive (this is how they survive as strays), she is a very sweet and gentle soul, good with other dogs, but not with cats.

She must travel to the U.K. on 22 July.
